Statuses

Overview

Fortworx uses statuses to help you track the progress of a report. When a new report is received, it is assigned an initial status. As the report progresses through the workflow, you can change its status to reflect its current state.

List of Statuses

Fortworx comes with a set of predefined statuses that you can use to track the progress of a report:

System Statuses

These statuses are set automatically by the system during report processing:

  • Created — A new report has been created and is being processed by the system.
  • Received — The report has been received and processed by Fortworx.

User Statuses

These statuses can be set by workspace members to track report progress:

  • Pending Review — The report is awaiting review by your team.
  • Reviewed — The report has been reviewed by your team.
  • Accepted — The report has been accepted as a valid vulnerability.
  • Rejected — The report has been rejected as not a valid vulnerability.
  • Waiting for More Info — Waiting for more information from the researcher.
  • Investigating — The report is currently being investigated.
  • Resolved — The reported issue has been fixed.
  • Unresolved — The reported issue has not been resolved.
  • Can’t / Won’t Resolve — The reported issue cannot or will not be resolved.

Responses Based on Status

Some status changes result in a response being generated by Fortworx to be sent to the researcher. For example, when a report is confirmed as a valid vulnerability, Fortworx will generate a response to inform the researcher of the confirmation. Similarly, when a report is rejected, Fortworx will generate a response informing the researcher of the rejection.
