Use Custom Emails
Overview
Each Fortworx workspace has a unique email address and all reports sent to that email address are received by that workspace. However, sometimes you might want to advertise a custom email on your website, something like security@example.com instead of foobar@reports.fortworx.com.
Setting Up a Custom Email
- Navigate to Settings > Overview in your workspace.
- Click Setup Custom Email (or Change Custom Email if you’ve already configured one).
- Enter the email address you want to use (e.g.,
security@example.com). - Set up email forwarding from that address to your workspace’s inbound email address.
- Confirm the forwarding setup and submit.
- Fortworx will verify the custom email. The address will show as Pending verification until the verification is complete.
Once verified, your custom email address is displayed in your workspace settings and can be shared publicly.
Receiving Emails
You can use custom emails in two ways:
- Forward emails to your workspace email
- Include your workspace email in a group email
Sending Emails
Emails sent from Fortworx are always sent from your workspace email address. Custom email sending is not currently supported.
